A Season of Thanks, Fresh Greens, and Fall Savings!
|
Hello from the Farm!
This Thanksgiving, we’re pausing to reflect on just how grateful we are — and it all comes back to you.
Every message you send, every photo of your dishes topped with our microgreens, every kind word of encouragement — it all helps keep our small Port Colborne farm thriving. What started as a simple idea — to grow something good, honest, and nourishing — has become a community of people who care deeply about local food, health, and connection.
We’re thankful for every home cook, restaurant, and family that welcomes our greens into their kitchens. You remind us that food isn’t just about eating — it’s about growing together, supporting one another, and celebrating the small things that bring life to the table.
From our family to yours, thank you for helping Rock Leaf Harvest take root and grow. May your Thanksgiving be filled with warmth, good company, and plenty of greens on your plate.
And keep sending us your foodie photos – [email protected].

What’s in My Jeans Greens?
Ever wonder what makes microgreens so mighty? These tiny greens may be small in size, but they pack a serious nutritional punch. Here’s a look at what’s inside some of your Rock Leaf Harvest favourites:
Pea Microgreens Sweet and tender, pea shoots are rich in vitamins A, C, and K, along with folate and antioxidants that support cell health and immunity. They’re also a great source of plant-based protein — perfect for boosting energy and recovery.
Sunflower Microgreens Hearty and nutty, sunflower shoots are loaded with vitamin E, a powerful antioxidant that promotes healthy skin and heart function. They’re also packed with zinc, calcium, magnesium, and healthy fats, making them a great all-around immune booster.
Broccoli Microgreens Our most popular green — and for good reason. Broccoli microgreens are rich in sulforaphane, a natural compound linked to detoxification, inflammation reduction, and cancer prevention. They’re also high in vitamins C and K and support gut and immune health.
Radish Microgreens Spicy, colourful, and bold — radish microgreens bring the heat and the health. They’re loaded with vitamin E, C, and potassium, and contain natural compounds that help improve circulation and digestion. Perfect for waking up salads, sandwiches, and soups.
Basil Microgreens Fragrant and full of flavour, basil microgreens are rich in vitamin K, iron, and manganese — nutrients that support blood and bone health. They also contain natural anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties, making them a delicious way to boost your immune system.

As we head into Thanksgiving weekend, we’re also celebrating another team that’s showing heart and hustle — our Toronto Blue Jays, kicking off their postseason run against the New York Yankees!! Like the Jays, we know that success comes from teamwork, dedication, and showing up in the clutch — and you, our customers, have been clutch for us all season long.
So here’s to gratitude and great greens, to hard work paying off, and to believing in what can grow when a community comes together. From our family to yours, we wish you a joyful Thanksgiving filled with warmth, good food, and maybe even a few Jays victories to cheer for.
🌱 With gratitude,
Heather, Allie, and Ron The Rock Leaf Harvest Team
Go Jays!
